City of Gold

This is the view from our balcony, nice isn't it? If you look at it clearly, you'll be able to spot the tallest building in the world, Burj Dubai, and that's that thin, pointy building at the right side. Anyway, if your familiar with the places in Dubai, you'll be able to find me..hehe Because the picture says it all. If I had any old pictures, this view is nothing. Ten years ago it was all sand and small, old buildings. It was a lot more boring before than it is today. Usually, the only stuff I do is watch local t.v, roller-blade with my brothers or friends, eat shwarma, go to the beach, park or church because before there were like 3 small malls with no fun in it, 1 or 2 cinemas, a bowling alley and some ice rinks which cost a lot, I can't afford to go there, it's really expensive. Even my friends won't go there. Back to reality, it's better today coz there's many places to play! hehe and there's more people now! The only thing to hate now is the heat and traffic but over-all, it's a great place.

Miles Away

This is not the airplane I flew in. It's actually Cathay Pacific..hehe Anyway, It was almost beside this one. We flew in from Manila to HK because we had to exchange flights. Our destination? Dubai. From the rainy and wet south-easthern islands of the Philippines to the desert, hot and dry place of the UAE. Well, the place I live in was not really a desert but a city and one of the most advance, famous and successful cities in the middle east. So, I'm still lucky. I've been here for 6 months but I'm blogging it now..hehe I remember when I was at HK and the people in front of me who I thought were chinese coz they really looked chinese actually spoke Tagalog, even the kids. They sure fooled me big time. Our flight was delayed for an hour back then. I like to travel but sitting for more than 8 hours? it's torture and the food sucks too. Ok, down to dubai, it was depressing at first coz I left everything back home and my spirit was below 0 but I had to hang on. Yup, this is a new beginning. Before all this I had a really bad experience back at our local airport and I'm not telling what it is but it really lowered my respect for my own kind. But I'm still proud to be a Filipino!

K-ON!

Like what I said on my other blog, there is something in this anime that wants me to see it and yes, I've been waiting for the episodes on various anime sites just to watch it and my guts were right. It's freakishly cool! This for me is the best I've seen so far this year. Many viewers don't really appreciate school, slice of life genres but this is a must see series, it's really funny too especially in the manga. The characters were mostly alike but their personalities were different and talk about Mio who looks like Yomi is her exact opposite but she's still cool. I'm a big Jpop fan, so I can't help myself not to love this anime, it reminds me of Haruhi Suzumiya. I'm not comparing them. They are two animes different from each other. I have the complete soundtrack on my Imeem account. You can hear their songs there. It became my favorite because of the songs and the characters of Mio and Azusa. Moe, moe, kyun!

Chapters Written

What's with the title?
Well, I'm a bit on the emotional stage this days. Can't help it since I've been away for 6 months. I'm still a bum, unemployed, I'm getting fatter each day, I hate what happened to my hair, I miss my friends, and I don't know what's on the mind of every single person I'm with right now.. my life started to suck from the moment I stepped on this desert land called the "City Of Gold".
It's a curse I tell you. I tried everything I could like get a job but I guess some were just not right for me. I'm a tough one but there are days that I really break down and I don't know what to do and who to turn to. I know that God is there but there are more people who really needs his help.

Life is really gaining on me.
I'm getting older as the days go by.
People change but some don't.
Adjustments are needed.
Internet as your bestfriend.
Problems to absorb most days.
Change in my wallet.
Silent times.
It sucks!

Driving is the only thing that I do now and it's the only time that I guess that I can be me.
I'm thankful that I was given an opportunity to learn something that I should have learned a long time ago. At that time I'm able to socialize with different types of people, different personalities, different nationalities. Forget everything and be yourself.

I'm also thankful coz I was able to find old friends that I have not seen for over 10 years and yes, I'm starting to be happy!

I'm given allowance every month which breaks my heart every time I receive it but I keep it coz I need it. Pride people! Just gulp it in!

Lesson.

Everything has it's reasons. No matter how much you complain, it's already on your book called "Life". Take it all and live it! In due time, everything will be at place.

Ok, well I've watched this anime first before MariaHolic and yah, obviously I forgot to mention this in my official blog but hey here it is and you can see one too in my imeem account.. I have a blog there also (duh!)..
Hmm First off, Aside from the opening song Paradise Lost by One of my favorite Seiyuu Actress and JPop Singer, Chihara Minori, I really loved the animation.. action, summons, a bit of gore will really catch my attention and add a little edge of yuri in it then it's perfect..
Of course my favorite is Yomi, the one with the black, long hair.. though she and Kagura fought in the end it was fine, they both lived.. well, it felt differently in the manga than in the anime but it's cool.. Anyway, POCKY RULES! ( I suck at this really. random, random! :p )

Yuri Manga Turned Series

It's official my friends. According to AnimeNewsNetwork there will be a new upcoming yuri series this year and maybe summer. And what series are this?

One of my current favorite manga which is "Sasameki Koto" which is the tale of Murasame Sumika who is popular in high school for her excellence in the marks and sports. However, she has a secret: she is in love with her classmate Kazama Ushio. Ushio also has a liking to the love between girls, but she hasn't noticed Sumika's feeling and always been refused by other girls. You'll find the translated ones in dynasty scans or livejournal group daily_yuri. They have it there.

Wahaha I can't wait!! Girls with glasses rule! XD I just love the simplicity and the realistic theme of Sasameki Koto. Aaarrrgghhh! I Want to watch the real thing badly!!

And the other one is "Aoi Hana" I've seen this in Lililicious, they have this for download. But I only read a few chapters. Anyway, it's about Fumi Manjoume and Akira Okudaria who were close friends when they were young, but when
Fumi moved away, they lost contact. Ten years later, they meet again as high school freshmen. Although they find that things between them have changed, they try to help each other through hard times, and maintaining the new lives they've built without growing apart.

Sorry if I don't have much info. But I'd love to share this with you guys. Anyway, I got it all through anime sites.

Inserted pic is from Sasameki Koto. This is the official poster from their site http://www.sasameki.com/
